(morning and evening sessions)

Learn to teach yoga safely and effectively on Kauai, Hawaii
with veteran yoga practitioner, author and teacher Michaelle Edwards.
The training will take place at the beautiful Mana Yoga Center just 10 minutes from Hanalei Bay, Hawaii. The Kauai north shore center is in a quiet rural setting on 5 pristine acres with a spectacular view of the Kauai Mountains and waterfalls. 5 minutes away are reasonably priced accommodations and a large shopping center. Beautiful beaches cover the entire length of the North shore and there is time early in the morning or after class to swim, surf or hike on this beautiful island.
Topics to be covered in the training:

  • Learn to teach a powerful hatha class and conduct private session work with confidence and understanding of effective sequencing and safety.

  • Learn to work with natural alignment of the spine and teach people to move and breathe from the psoas-diaphram connection.

  • Teach clients how to get flexible without stretching. Use proprioceptive neuro-muscular facilitation techniques to change muscle patterning at the nervous system level.

  • Hands on corrections and safe adjustments for your students

  • Therapeutic yoga training to heal injuries, posture misalignments and chronic pain

  • Pranayama for understanding and utilizing breath as the most essential tool in practice and teaching

  • Physiology and anatomy essential for understanding the body and how its is designed which is essential to be a qualified teacher

  • Self-massage techniques and partner poses

  • Keep your teaching skills alive and intuitive so that your practice and teaching become a lifelong process of growth

  • Learn how to read the body and assess a students flexibility, alignment and physio-emotional patterning.

  • Yoga philosophy, yamas and niyamas, mantra and chanting.

Policies:
The tuition for the teacher training is $3500 plus $140  tax for a total of $3640.
A $500 deposit will hold your space in the workshop.
